Delicious food and outstanding service! This was our first time at this location and the food is just as good as i remembered from their San Bruno location. They gave us hot and fresh chicharon while we waited for our order, which didn't take long at all. My favorite was the laing - flavorful, just the right amount of spicy, and generous amount of pork; I really like that the pork wasn't just mostly globs of fat, it was actually meaty. My husband and son loved the longsilog and lumpia, as well as the mango freeze (big enough to share between 3 people). I want to give a special thanks to our kind and attentive waitress! She made us feel very welcome and not self-conscious, which is rare when you bring your super expressive and boisterous three year-old to a sit-down restaurant. She saw us struggling in the middle of a meltdown and she helped calm him down with crayons and paper and always made sure to check in on him throughout dinner which definitely meant a lot to him (and us!). And she never rushed us even though it was getting close to closing time. We truly appreciate you! We will absolutely be back for the great food and wonderful hospitality. This is the kind of business I will support over and over!

We were invited to a birthday party here. Reading the reviews, we were not expecting much, but boy, we were blown away by the quality of the food, and the service! It was offered as a buffet, and everything was fresh and tasted so good, especially the lechon, the roasted pork belly. It didn't have too much fat, the skin was crispy. All items were replenished as needed. We also like the dessert, turon, fried banana with ice cream! Parking was plentiful. Just hope the food will be as good when we come back to order take out.

Sweetest waitresses, good food, reasonable prices, and a clean restaurant! The prices here are almost half the price compared to Gerry's and they give you double the amount of food. Wish they had some music! Hopefully bring back the the bands!

This restaurant deserves more stars here on Yelp! We went to another Filipino restaurant but the wait was too much for us. I've been at Tribu before and remember it being good so we decided to go back. It did not disappoint! The bagoong rice was so good, the egpplant in it was delicious. Salpicao was also good! We also got a complimentary chicharon that paired well with beer, it was freshly fried and still was warm when we got it. Sisig was okay but not bad. The most important thing is that the price is reasonable, we even have leftovers.

I was excited to introduce my friends to Filipino food, since none of them ever had Filipino food before. A colleague had recommended Tribu Grill, since he previously has had events there with 10+ people and the staff are very accommodating for large groups. We only had a group of 8, so it worked for us! The restaurant was very accommodating with reservations, and I was able to put in a reservation for 8 on the same day as our visit (we went on a Thursday night). Once we arrived at the restaurant, my friends let me take control of the wheel and order away. I ordered a wide array of appetizers, entrees, and desserts to let them sample the vast array of Filipino cuisine. We had only ordered Lumpia, but the staff was kind to throw in 2 free orders of chicharron. Then the entrees came out - basically we had a wide assortment of pork dishes ranging from Lechon, Adobo, Sisig, and Crispy Pata. In addition, we also had Pancit, Kare Kare with oxtail, and Bass. My friends and I greatly enjoyed everything presented to us. Everything reminded me of the flavors I'm accustomed with in Filipino cuisine (including some dishes my mom would cook for me). The only downside was the Kare Kare was a bit too oily, but everything else came out really well! I then followed up with a couple of Filipino desserts including Halo Halo, Bibingka, and Turon. Again, the desserts were also incredibly delicious (although sharing Halo Halo was a little difficult for a group of 8). The Bibingka had a very nice chew to it but was not overly chewy. The Turon surprised me since it was more Turon a la mode - I've never had it served with ice cream before, but it made for a delightful treat! The staff made this a great experience overall! The service was great throughout, and we all left feeling full and satisfied. And even with all the dishes we ordered, it came out to ~$20/person, which is pretty affordable given that food in the Bay Area can be pretty expensive!

It's been several years since my family and I have eaten @ Tribu. Not because of the food or service but we no longer live in the area. I was really surprised about the negative reviews because we always had a positive experience prior to us moving. We thought the cooks are new or new management. Anyway, we took a chance and decided to take the drive here. To be honest, my wife was craving Tribu ice tea! It's the only reason we made the trip today! Its not on the menu so you have to ask for it by name. We were seated right away since we were the 1st customers to arrive at 1130 am during week. We ordered the 2 rice plates with bbq pork and lechon kawalli. Also, beef nilaga and the entree of pork bbq. Everything was delicious. The pork was tender and grilled perfectly. The nilaga broth was so flavorful with a good ratio of oxtail to veggies. I'm glad we took a chance to try eating here again and i brought up the issue about the past negative reviews to our server and he took it to heart. He told me, they read the reviews. He mentioned they have new cooks so im hoping those who had terrible experiences in the past try them again. Being Filipino and proud of our culture and food. I applaud the businesses who promotes the food of the Philippines. Filipino food does not get the notoriety that it should receive! So what are you waiting for? Kain Tayo! (Lets eat)
